Garden City Collegiate (Commonly shortened to GC) is a high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is part of the Seven Oaks School Division, and houses grades 9-12. The Garden City motto is "Participation and Excellence."

It is well known for its first class music and fine arts programs, as well as a top notch science department.

Garden City Collegiate offers two programs: the English Diploma and the French Immersion Diploma. Garden City is the only high school in Seven Oaks School Division that offers both programs to all students.

[edit] CBC's Bring It On! Competition 2007

In October, CBC announced Garden City Collegiate was selected to participate in the CBC Bring It On!: A News Quiz competition alongside 5 other high schools. Three representatives were chosen and they were: Kevin Dandurand, Nicole Demelo, and Kevin Pauley. The first round was filmed on Monday, October 29th and it aired on CBC News at 6:00 on Thursday, November 1st. Round one was Garden City vs. Maples. The final score was 5-4 and Garden City Collegiate moved on to the semi-finals!

The semi-finals were filmed on Thursday, November 8th and it aired on Tuesday, November 13th. Garden City was so close to making it through to the final round, however they lost to Jeanne-Sauve by just one point.
