Garcelle Evans- Malco (born Garcelle Evans; December 4, 1981) is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter, record producer, actress, and film director. Evans debuted as an actress in 1995 when she won the role of Renee' Donovan in television series A Family's Circle of Life.
In 1995, Evans also released her first solo single, "Sometimes I", which became a worldwide hit. The success of "Sometimes I" sparked the international release of Evans's first studio album, self-titled Garcelle Evans.

Evans was born in Atlanta, Georgia,[1] to African-american parents Anita and Anthony Evans. She also had older and younger siblings. When she was 5 years old, her mother divorced her father and moved to South Central, Los Angeles. In 1994, Garcelle's mother signed her up for acting clases. One day in acting class, Evan's met actress/ singer Tisha Campbell-Martin. She overheard her singing ability and decided to do something about it. Later that year, Evans got her first acting job on a television series A Family's Circle of Life.

[edit] 1994–1995: Music beginnings
In 1995, Evans made her first official musical appearance on The Notorius B.I.G.'s studio album Ready To Die, performing guest vocals on his song "One More Chance". Released as the album's single in 1995, the track managed to peak at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and in the top 30 of the UK singles chart, building Evans's reputation as a singer. She was only fourteen. Evans also appeared in Monica's video for "Why I Love You So Much" playing a friend. By the fall of 1994, Evans began recording her first album with the help of Babyface and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Twelve months later, her first studio album was released.

Evan's first feature film role was in the movie, The Partners in Crime in 1998. During the making of the movie, Evans was only sixteen and began filming in 1997. She also worked with her future husband, Romany Malco in the film. In 2001, she met director Tony Scott who wanted to put her in her next feature film, The Yearbook Commitee which was released in 2002. Then, in 2004, Evans bounced back in the thrill-seeking film, The Death Trip, which she co-starred Seth Green, Mark Wahlberg, and Denise Richards. In 2006, Evans portrayed an eye-witness in the movie, In The Eyes Of a Killer. Then, in 2008, she is currently filming Backdown, a sequel to the 2004 film, You Got Served. Evans is currently working on another movie and is scheduling releasing a new sitcom in 2009.

In 2002, Evans wrongly posed for Playboy magazines and did some porn work in the porn industry. At the beginning of 2003, she left all of it and got back in the regular industry.
