Garbage heap of history
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The garbage heap of history is a figurative place to where objects such as persons, events, artifacts, ideologies, and etcetera are relegated when they are forgotten or marginalized in history.
The phrase came to be popularized by the notorious "garbage heap of history" to which Marxism hoped to consign its vanquished opponents as stated by Leon Trotsky.[1][2]
