Garalgachha is a census town in Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is under Chanditala police station in Serampore subdivision. [1]

As of 2001 India census[2], Garalgachha had a population of 4499. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Garalgachha has an average literacy rate of 86%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 89%, and female literacy is 82%. In Garalgachha, 7% of the population is under 6 years of age.
