From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
M.I.A. was a 1980s punk rock band from Orange County, California. Its members were Chris Moon, drums; Paul Schwartz, bass; Nick Adams, guitar; and Mike Conley, vocals. Moon and Conley were from Las Vegas, Nevada, where they were in a band called The Swell.
The band's sound was generally hardcore and thrasher, though they produced more melodic and progressive sounds in their later albums. All Music Guide called M.I.A. "one of the 50 best So-Cal punk bands of the great early-'80s second wave explosion." [1] [2]
