Ganbare Goemon (RC748) → Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Douchuu – The actual title of the game is "Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Douchuu", RC748 only refers to the cartridge ID of the MSX version. Current page at Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Douchuu only has two edits and has always been a redirect to something CaptainMurphy 13:18, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Title Translation?

Does anyone know of a proper translation of the subtitle for the game? I think it may be something like "Tricking Adventure". Douchuu means journey. Karakuri is a word for a device used to trick someone, and a karakuri ningyo is a type of Japanese puppet. I think the first part may be a pun, and thus refers to both (Goemon is the player's puppet, and being a thief, he tricks other people). Perhaps it's just referring to the latter, though. Does anyone have a better explanation?

Answer: The game's title is best translated as: Persevere Goemon! A tricky journey
