[edit] Neighborhood
"Ganas" is not a neighborhood in Staten Island, so I am removing the link to "Neighborhoods in the New York City Borough of Staten Island" 172.165.199.70 14:47, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Balance and weight
I have removed from the "Further Reading" section the citations which focused on the shooting at Ganas. This article is about the co-operative, not the shooting. The weight given to the shooting is not in accordance with WP:NPOV; in fact, I still think the article is overweighted, but I'm not going to push the point. While this isn't a coatrack article because there the peripheral stuff isn't an attack on anyone or anything, it shouldn't be used as a way of making a non-notable event (a shooting) in the primary subject of an article. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 22:40, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

- From that policy:
Undue weight applies to more than just viewpoints. Just as giving undue weight to a viewpoint is not neutral, so is giving undue weight to other verifiable and sourced statements. An article should not give undue weight to any aspects of the subject, but should strive to treat each aspect with a weight appropriate to its significance to the subject.

- I think the article now, after the changes you made, is fine; the incident certainly is entitled to a full paragraph description and a number of supporting citations. In the best of worlds, the rest of the article would be expanded so that this paragraph didn't take up so much space, relatively speaking, but as it is now, I believe it conforms to WP:NPOV. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 12:50, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
