Gangtokey Gandagol is a mystery novel by Satyajit Ray featuring the private detective Feluda.

Feluda and Topshe visit Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Once they reach there, they find that Gangtok is not as peaceful as they had imagined. There are landslides; a well to-do businessman, Mr. Shelvankar, is killed when his car is hit by a falling rock.

In Gangtok, they meet a wide assortment of characters: a German Photographer (Helmut Ungar), a self-proclaimed psychic (Dr. Baidya), a Bengali businessman (Shashodhar Bose), to name a few. Mr. Shashodhar Bose turns out to be the business partner of the hapless Mr. Shelvankar. The psychic, Dr. Baidya claims that Mr. Shelvankar was murdered by his estranged son, Virendra.

Feluda suspects foul play and starts investigating.

And among all this they meet another person named Nishiukanta Sarkar....who stayed with them in the same Hotel...In the end we come to know that the photographer is actually Selvenkar's son and he had actually come to save his father but Sevankar was killed before anything could be done.
