Gangamopteris

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gangamopteris is a genus of Carboniferous-Permian[1] seed fern, very similar to Glossopteris.[2] The genus is usually only applied to leaves, making it an organ taxon.[verification needed] Gangamopteris dominates some coal deposits, such as those of the Beacon sandstone.[3]
