Ganesh Thapa is the present President of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). also the present President of the South Asian Football Federation.[1]

Before becoming the President of ANFA, Thapa was the national football player. He also played his professional football in Bangladesh.

- Criticised for duing monopoly in ANFA.
- Criticised for showing loyalty to King Gyanendra's dictatorship.
- Criticised for beating some journalists.
Allegations of corruption Ganesh Thapa has faced numerous allegations of corruption. Due to the squabbles with Gita Rana, regarding financial irregularities of ANFA under Ganesh Thapa, ANFA spilt in to two organisations one under Thapa and the other under Gita Rana. This caused a serious blow to the development of football in the kingdom of Nepal
