Gandhara University

Founded initially in 1995 as Gandhara Institute of Medical Sciences in Peshawar, Pakistan, as the first private Medical college in the North-West Frontier Province.
Gandhara University became the first private University in the Province in November 2002.
Founded by the noted surgeon Muhammad Kabir, it has now expanded to include teaching in Nursing and business.
