Gananda, New York

Gananda, New York, is a small "master planned community" in Wayne County, New York, about a half-hour outside of the city of Rochester, New York. It consists of a small portion of the adjoining towns of Walworth and Macedon.
It mostly consists of housing developments and a small school system, with individual elementary (named Richard Mann Elementary), middle, and high schools (Ruben A. Cirillo HS). The school has won some acclaim for its drama program, which has won several awards in the state's "Stars of Tomorrow" awards program. In 2004, it won several awards, including best show in its class for its performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; and in 2005 it won Best Supporting Actor and Actress in its class for the roles of Kenickie and Rizzo in its production of Grease. The Gananda Volleyball and Baseball teams won its Section V series when Gananda was only in class DD for sports.
Gananda is also home to the Blue Heron Hills Country Club. The Turquoise Gala is a fund-raiser for Lymphoma Research located in Gananda at the Blue Heron Hills Country Club. This helpful fund-raiser for Lymphoma patients can be found on the web, year long, at [1].
