Gan Yee Chee was born in Kuala Simpang, Malaysia in 28 March 1949. Now, she is the mayor of Kuala Simpang since 20 May 1996 when Wong Kit Cheah had to retire due to motion sickness. Currently she is living with her husband and her five daughters.
