[edit] Lists of winners

Welcome. I was tired of having to go to Gamespot each time I wanted to see what game won the "Best _____ Award" in whatever year, so combined all the results I could find into a hierarchical style here on Wikipedia. Please feel free to make links work, make the format more uniform, etc. I apologize for all the many errors in missing (s, [s, ]s, 's, and the other punctuation that wikipedia likes. Having it now up, I'm taking a bit of a break from this. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy having this all in one place as much as I do. - Keithustus 04:31, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

I was just about to bring this issue up (after making an edit the size of Rhode Island), thanks for forestalling a good rant. I understand your reasoning, I just don't agree with your actions. Wikipedia is not a collection of indiscriminate information; the question to ask is do we need a listing of every winner for every year? I don't think so. A listing of current winners is fine, but the rest can be left for external links. --Stratadrake 20:10, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
The Academy Award for Best Picture page, which has been active since March 2004, does not have the "Indiscriminate listing of contents; external links should suffice," sign. - Keithustus 15:28, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
