[edit] Monkeypox species

I moved this commentary by 69.250.142.71 on the article page here: --Aranae 05:55, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Actually according to eyewitnesses who've SEEN the pouched rat species that was released in Florida, and who know the differences between species, identified them as the Emin's, or African pouched rat (C. emini), not gambian pouched rat. Both were in the pet trade, however the common person didn't know they were an entirely different species.

[edit] Confusing Fertility Period

Currently: "They have up to four litters every nine months with up to six offspring in each litter."

Why is it specifying the number of litters in nine months? Why not number of litters per year, or how frequently each litter occurs (every nine weeks? -- perhaps that "9" is getting confused?)? Or is there a 3 month infertile period per year and 9 months of fertility... ???

[edit] Lifespan

What is their lifespan?
