Gamma Arae (γ Ara / γ Arae) is a binary star in the constellation Ara. It is approximately 1140 light years from Earth.

The primary component, γ Arae A, is a blue-white B-type supergiant with an apparent magnitude of +3.5. It's companion γ Arae B, is a white A-type main sequence dwarf with an apparent magnitude of 10.5. The two stars are separated by 17.9 arcseconds on the sky and their combined apparent brightness is +3.31.
