Gamely Stakes

The Gamely Stakes is a race for thoroughbred horses run each year at Hollywood Park Racetrack. The race is for fillies and mares, aged three-years old and upward, and run at a distance of one and one-eighth miles on the turf. A Grade I event, it offers a purse of $250,000+.
The race is named for the great filly Gamely. In The Blood-Horse ranking of the top 100 U.S. thoroughbred champions of the 20th Century, Gamely is ranked #87.
