Gameloft is a leading international publisher and developer of video games for mobile devices, headquartered in France, with offices all around the world. Gameloft is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange (Bloomberg: GFT FP, Reuters: GFT.PA).
Gameloft had a staff of 4,000 at the end of 2007, up 50% over the end of 2006. Gameloft posted consolidated revenues of $92m in 2006, $140m in 2007, a Growth of 25%-30% is expected for the year 2008. Gameloft is also profitable since 2003. Through agreements with major telephone wireless carriers, handset manufacturers, specialized distributors and its online shop, Gameloft has a distribution network in over 80 countries[1]. The company creates games for mobile handsets equipped with Java, BREW or Symbian OS technology, and also for dedicated handheld consoles such as the Nintendo DS, iPod and the PlayStation Portable.
According to an interview with Michel Guillemot, the founder of Gameloft in issue 172 of Game Informer, the developer is seriously looking to develop for the Wii, as quoted below.
The Wii is certainly a very interesting machine. At Gameloft, it's the creators that decide which machine they want to support based on what they think that can do on it. Clearly the Wii is a very good candidate because it's a great machine, it's a great gaming experience, and our creators are looking at it very seriously.
On May 12, 2008, Gameloft released their first game on the Wii, the WiiWare launch title TV Show King.
Gameloft has also announced their plans to develop games for the apple iPhone, stating that they will release 15 games in 2008.[2]

Founded in 1999, Gameloft is an international publisher and developer of video games for mobile devices. In 2007, The company posted Q4 sales of $38.5m with an annual growth of 40%, thus surpassing the announced results of its competitors.[3] Today it is known to be the biggest player in the mobile entertaiment industry.[4]
