Game is a drinking game that uses dice. It has similar rules to the drinking game Kings but uses dice instead of cards. The name is kept simple, due to the fact that by the end of Game, that's really all one can say.
[edit] Equipment
- 2 Dice
- Lots of beer
- Table. Preferably one that has a hole in the center (like a patio table).
[edit] Set up
Pour the beer and get ready to start drinking.
[edit] Gameplay
The player rolls the dice and performs the necessary rule. Play proceeds clockwise (to the left).
Dice roll |
Rule |
2 (snake eye's) |
"Rule" - The player must choose a rule to be in effect for the rest of the game. If any player breaks a rule, he/she must drink. In most games, the rules become void while involved in game related activity (Rhyme Time, Questions, etc.) For examples of commonly used rules, see International Drinking Rules. |
3 |
"Sobriety Check" - The player must stand and perform a field sobriety test. If they fail, they must drink. If they pass, everybody else must drink. |
4 |
"Categories" - The player who rolled this calls out a category such as "car makes" or "Family Guy characters" and then starts with the first example of something from that category. No example can be repeated and the first person to fail to come up with another example drinks. Also as further punishment, they must place one hand on their head until their next turn. |
5 |
"Lowest Beer" - The person with the lowest beer has to finish their beer. If said beer is less then half full at the beginning, they must first fill their beer to half way. |
6 |
"Secret" - The player must tell a secret about one's self that the majority of the table does not know. This roll can also be used as an opposite sex drink, how ever the decision of invoking the secondary rule, but be called before the roll. |
7 |
"Truth or Dare?" - The player must submit to a Truth or Dare? |
8 |
"Pick a Mate" - The player must pick someone to drink with them everytime they drink. This "mating" can chain together, i.e. if player A mates player B and then player B mates player C, when player A drinks it forces player C to drink as well as player B. Also it is the responsibility of the initial drinker to remind their mate that they have to drink. There is no penalty for the mate not drinking, unless caught (not drinking) by the person who mated them, in this case take another drink. |
9 |
"Rhyme" - The player must pick a word/phrase, and, going clockwise around the circle, all players must think of a rhyme with the word/phrase. The player to mess up the rhyme drinks. Also as further punishment, they must place one hand on their head until their next turn. The starting word must not be rhymeless (i.e. orange, purple, silver). |
10 |
"Backwards" - The player is given a word to spell backwards. If the player is successful in spelling the word backwards than everybody else drinks. Otherwise the player drinks twice. |
11 |
"You" - The player re-rolls the dice, and doles out that many drinks to the person of their choosing. |
[edit] Superseding Rules
- When ever doubles are rolled (except snake eye's), it is a Social, and the numbered rule DOES NOT go into play. Everybody must drink the face showing, i.e. if its double fours then everybody must drink four times. There is another variant where the numbered rule goes into play after the social.
- When played on a proper table (one with a hole in the center) if a dice falls through the hole, then it is a waterfall ending with the player who rolled the dice. This player then re-rolls.
[edit] Other Rules
- An area of the table can be marked as the "playing field" (usually with the hole in the center), if a dice leaves the "playing field" then the player must drink the value showing on the dice that is out of the field and re-roll.
- When a player says something stupid they have to drink.
- If a player is accused of saying something stupid, but the table decides it isn't, then the accuser has to drink
- Anytime someone goes to the bathroom, everybody must drink.
- The thumb rule can be placed in play, without the rolling of snake eye's. However this placing of this rule in play must be a table wide decision. At any point throughout the game, a player can place his or her thumb on the table. At this point, the last player to place his or her own thumb on the table must drink.
