The owner's manual does not have any notice anywhere that it is copyrighted. All of the information contained in the owner's manual is intended to accompany and be used to describe the car.GalantFan (talk) 20:40, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyrighted materials

The Mitsubishi website (bold added) [1] clearly states: "Copyright ©2007 Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) All rights reserved. MMNA trade names, trademarks, and logos are registered trademarks of MMNA, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, or Mitsubishi Motors Credit of America, Inc. (MMCA). MMNA's site, including all titles, claimholders, names, and graphics used in connection with it, is a trademark of MMNA or its licensors. MMNA does not allow the user to print, copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, upload, download, store, display in public, alter, or modify these materials. However, you may, for personal and noncommercial use, download and make a single hard copy. Some of the material in MMNA's site is intended to be downloaded and printed for the user to learn about, evaluate, or acquire MMNA's products. MMNA does not allow its icons or site address to be used to link unofficial MMNA sites with any page in MMNA's official website."

A user manual that includes the (c) trademark on the cover can not be used, as the logo is trademarked. It is also logical to presume that "all graphics" includes not just the website, but everything that is printed by the company. Regarding the 1982 Sapporo Turbo - images of this nature need to have clearance from OTRS [2] as proof of permission of the actual author/creator of the image. Second-hand claims like "I got permission from XYZ to publish this" must be substantiated. SkierRMH (talk) 22:49, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

The user manual does not have the (c) or "copyright" or anything similar on it or in it.GalantFan 00:23, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Use of Press Release photos

I (GalantFan) was right when I said that the Press Release Photo was not copyrighted. The image that you incorrectly deleted was a Press Release Photo which had no copyright and was released to be free to use.

This information has been confirmed by an email to me from the current General Manager - Press & Public Relations, Andy Wertheim. I am going to upload more Press photos of the Sapporo (Galant Lambda) and I expect that they will not be deleted this time.GalantFan (talk) 20:19, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
