I think a page like this is encyclopedic in the fact that it is:

1) a companion resource to the Wikipedia articles about each national currency. Most articles do not have images of all the coins in circulation; some articles do not have images of any coins at all. The encyclopediability, if you will, of this article will become more apparent as images of coins not found in their respective national currency articles are added.

2) a resource for comparing the coins of different national currencies.

I am curious how if a page like Gallery of coins is not encyclopedic, how is a page like Gallery of flags and its related galleries. ChuchoHuff 13:36, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

I understand now. I see that these images belong on the page for each nation's currency. This page should deleted.ChuchoHuff 15:49, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Could this be moved to Gallery of currently circulating coins ? there are hundreds of images of roman coins on commons:Category:Roman coins which would not fit along with the current currencies --Astrokey44 09:18, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
