[edit] Beta

Not sure precisely when the beta is due to the start, but when it has I will enhance this article with further information (assuming there is no NDA). `Zozart .chat 10:15, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rumours

One of the project servers has been down for a while, and a number of beta testers are concerned that the project has folded. No response from any of the staff for a couple of weeks, but note that the game servers are still running so personally I don't think the rumours are true. -MikeMars (beta tester) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 194.128.197.124 (talk) 13:45, 8 March 2007 (UTC).

-- Update: Now been about a month since the last contact from any member of the GalaxyLife staff on the forums.

-- I've expanded slightly on the 10th April edit about the closure rumours. It occurs to me that if they've gone bust there's surely a financial report somewhere? I found the CV of a GalaxyLife development team leader, I note that the role finished Jan 2007 which could be a bad sign. [1]

Since the project has been dead for months, I have changed the article accordingly. --Josh1billion 08:36, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for that Josh.

I think it's safe to say now- Development stopped when the management let all the devs go without pay at the end of January. I'd be interested to know how long the servers stayed up. It'd be good to write about what happened one day but this isn't really the place.

[edit] Spam?

I note from the page history that 24.251.42.8 tagged the 'galaxylife' page as db-spam (and then evilclown93 untagged it).

Keep in mind that any page where the text says that the project appears to have been cancelled can hardly be advertising :-)
