Image:Galinstan on glass.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Summary

Photograph taken by me. A tiny drop of galinstan (from a broken "mercury free" thermometer) easily wetting a 2" glass disk (protective goggle lens) at room temperature with a cotton swab, making a rough mirror.

Note that the small puddle at the middle bottom is actually much more galinstan than was used to make the large (but very thin) smudge above it. Ruler shows inches.
