An illustration of how jet orientation effects observed properties in Active Galaxies. The host galaxy and the inner structure of the AGN are shown in pairs at different orientations. When the angle to the line of sight with Earth is small the luminosity of the jet is greatly enhanced. This diagram was created with Corel Bryce 4 and touched up with Corel PhotoPaint 10 by Ron Kollgaard (Mrbrak).
