Galmi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Galmi, Niger is a village located somewhere on the east/west highway between Birnin Konni and Maradi. It is well known for its purple and red onions [1] popular in west Africa.

A well-known landmark is the missions hospital, Galmi Hospital. It is a welcome respite to see the vegetation from the air, when flying in the area, the distinct feature being the many trees planted in the hospital compound.
