Gallant Fox Handicap

The Gallant Fox Handicap is an American Thoroughbred horse race run at the end of December at Aqueduct Racetrack in the Borough of Queens, New York.

The Gallant Fox, inaugurated in 1939 at the old Jamaica Racetrack (and run there until 1958), is open to three-years-old and up and set at a distance of one and five eighths miles) on the dirt. This ungraded stakes event offers a purse of $75,000.

The race is named for Gallant Fox, the second winner of the U.S. Triple Crown in 1930.
