Galion is a mountain village in the south ofGalion is a tiny town in beautiful Dominica. It is well worth visiting because of the old stone road down to the coast. The best way to visit Galion is to park in Soufriere and hike the modernpaved road into the town. There's a look out with wonderful views of Soufriere and Scotts Head. (a small donation is requested) From the look out you begin the steep winding road all the way down to the coast. Old giant mango trees provide shade almost all the way down. The road is very steep, so be fit and agile if you want to see it. At the bottom, a short walk on the coast road returns you to Soufriere.
