Galicia-Volhynia Wars fought in the years 1340-1392 concerned the succession over the Principality of Galicia-Volhynia.
After the death of Boleslaus George there were several contenders to the throne of the Principality. They included king of Poland, Casimir III the Great, and Grand Duke of Lithuania, Lubart. Eventually the situation stabilized in 1392, after both Casimir and Lubart were dead. Poland took control of Galicia, and Lithuania, of Volhynia.
