Galeata is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 km southeast of Bologna and about 30 km southwest of Forlì. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,477 and an area of 62.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Galeata contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Buggiana, Pianetto, Sant'Ellero, San Zeno, and Strada San Zeno.
Galeata borders the following municipalities: Civitella di Romagna, Predappio, Premilcuore, Rocca San Casciano, Santa Sofia.
