Gajanand Rajput (Born: 1979) is the only Indian to have received formal training in Wushu.[1]. He received this training at the Shaolin temple in Henan, China. During the training he was named Shi Heng Chang (Chinese for: Long time relative) by his master.

Gajanand is also the general secretary of the Martial Arts Authority of India. He has also worked as an action choreographer for the TV serial "Prithviraj Chauhan" which is presently being aired on Star TV.

  • 2005: Awarded a doctorate from the International University of Sport and Martial Arts Science[1], New Jersey for proficiency in Wushu.
