[edit] Gai/Gay
I was wondering if the name is spelled correctly. I remember in one episode Akito Tenkawa painted Gai/Gay's name on a miniature Aestevalis(sp?) and it was spelled Gay not Gai. What do you guys think? If I hear no objections I would like the title changed to this effect. --214.3.124.4 08:54, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Anonymous214.3.124.4 08:54, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm thinking it was just a bad romanization. --Fattierob 16:42, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah. And on the purely practical plane, it's a bad idea to go with as official a romanization like "Gay". Oy. --Gwern (contribs) 17:20 15 April 2007 (GMT)
- I understand that it is romanizing in a sort of unexpected result, but if we are romanizing the article on Wikipedia (which is necessary to make it English based) then shouldn't we romanize it correctly? I guess I'm more concerned about accuracy of Wikipedia then anything else that might come of it. --214.3.124.4
- Um, if you actually romanize his name properly, it comes out "Gai", not "Gay". It's an actual Japanese name and should probably be left as such. Darkslime 19:12, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree; changing the name to "Gay" can possibly lead to several complaints and cases of vandalism, if discovered. Llxwarbirdxll 05:13, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
