Gaius Julius Verus Maximinus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gaius Julius Verus Maximinus can refer to:

  • Gaius Julius Verus Maximinus, usually called Maximinus Thrax (Maximinus the Thracian), Roman emperor 235–238;
  • Gaius Julius Verus Maximinus, his son and deputy emperor 236–238. Ironically the name Maximinus is incorrectly attributed to him by some biographers; he was in fact called Maximus.
