Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman & Mackauf is a Plaintiff's personal injury law firm specializing in construction accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, civil rights, police misconduct and all types of personal injury litigation. It was originally founded in 1923.

The firm has more lawyers selected by The Best Lawyers in America than any other plaintiff's personal injury firm in New York.

GGCS&M has long been the top firm for serious personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases. GGCS&M's decades of achievements are due to its selectivity, structure, and aggressive trial preparation. Seven of Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman & Mackauf's partners have been listed in the Best Lawyers in America: Robert Conason, Stephen Mackhauf, Ben Rubinowitz, Jeffrey Bloom, Anthony Gair, Howard Hershenhorn and Seymour Boyers. Each of these seven has achieved multiple-million dollars verdicts. [1]

The true measure of the firm's success, however, is evidenced by its long track record of impressive court victories and pre-trial settlements. While no amount of money can ever replace what have ben lost by injury or death, the noteworthy results obtained by the lawyers at GGCS&M provide the means for securing necessary medical treatments and for rebuilding the lives of its clients and their families [2]

[edit] Firm History

Gair Gair, Conason, Steigman and Mackauf is New York's city oldest plaintiff's personal injury Law firm, founded by the late Harry A. Gair in 1923.

Harry Gair was in his time the United States most prominent trial lawyer in the field of negligence, or accident law, and unequalled as a court room nemesis to opposing medical witnesses[3].

The firm became known as Gair & Gair when Mr. Gair's wife, the late Harriet E. Gair, became a partner. Harriet Gair was an important figure in New York's legal structure. She began working at the firm at the age of 15 as a secretary, and when she received her law degree from NYU 68 years ago, she was one of the first women to do so.She became the President of the New York Women Bar Association and she is considered a pionner of the Legal profession.

In 1969, Robert L. Conason, Harry Gair's protege and hand picked successor became a member of the firm which became known as Gair, Gair & Conason. The firm has been known as Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman and Mackauf since 1990. It gained further prominence when it represented the mother of Amadou Diallo.
