Gahmar

Gahmar is a largest village of Asia which is situated near holy river ganga in Ghazipur district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It lies on the Delhi howrah route. The village is dominated by rajputs and bhumihars. Most of the population are comprises all the section of the society and the people of the village live in peaceful atmosphere. They maintain high degree of communal harmony. The village Gahmar is flanked by river Ganga in northern side, southern side it has railway station. On the west the village has a canal and it is connected with village Bara. On the eastern side the holy shrine of Ma kamakhya. People from all the adjoining area of the village use to visit the holy shrine.
