Gaggio Montano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bologna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 45 km southwest of Bologna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,928 and an area of 58.7 km².[1]

Gaggio Montano borders the following municipalities: Castel d'Aiano, Castel di Casio, Grizzana Morandi, Lizzano in Belvedere, Montese, Porretta Terme, Vergato.
