[edit] 2006/7 posts

As far as i know there is now at least one Gaelscoil in every county and they are experiencing a bit upsurge in interest possibly due to favorable economic conditions in Ireland where the Irish language and culture in the past might have been seen as a hindrance to economic success. i don't think schools in the gaeltacht count as gaelscoileanna! --Polo12345 13:38, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

According to ga:Gaelscoil, they don't. Is Gaelscoil usually capitalized in English or not? Angr/talk 13:48, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

i guess that makes this line wrong: gaelscoileanna are not just popular in the Gaeltacht. Gaelscoil is not capitalised on the "gaelscoileanna.ie" website. --Polo12345 15:55, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

well websites dont tend to use capitals anyway.

Schools in the Gaeltacht are Gaelscoileanna obviously, they are not mentioned on the Gaelscoileanna website as they are funded separately. Gaelscoil, basically means Irish language school and schools in the Gaeltacht are Irish language schools. Frainc 22:15 10 January 2007
