Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín is an Irish language primary education school that opened its doors in September 2006 as a culmination of efforts made by prospective parents and interested Irish speakers in the Balbriggan area. The school is the first Irish language in the northern part of Fingal and due to its success, has given encouragement to interested parties from other towns in Fingal. The Gaelscoil committee was formed in the spring of 2005 with the task of raising funds, registering prospective pupils and applying to the Department of Science & Education for official recognition.

The Gaelscoil currently occupies rooms in Sunshine House in Church Street in Balbriggan on a temporary basis, the school will have to find new accommodation for the school year starting in September 2008, the school also share Sunshine House with Bracken Educate Together and Naíonra Bhaile Brigín.

The Head Teacher is Clodagh Ni Mhaoilchiarán and the Chairman of the School is Micheál Mac Mathuna.
Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín is due to be officially opened on 22nd January 2008 by local T.D & Minister of State for Food and Horticulture, Trevor Sargent
