Gadfly Online

The Gadfly Online was a periodical, printed between January 1998 and April 2001. It won the 1999 Alternative Press Award from Utne Reader. They have maintained an online presence after ceasing to produce new printed content. Their subject matter centers on popular culture, including music, stand-up comedy, and film; their first issue gave a preview of The Matrix.

Gadfly Online published such writers as Andrew Loog Oldham, Tom Bradley, Richard Abowitz, Nile Southern (son of Terry Southern), and the rock critic David Dalton.
