Coordinates: 20°06′N 80°00′E / 20.1, 80 Gadchiroli is a town and a municipal council in Gadchiroli district in the state of Maharashtra, central India.

It is very lush in Monsoon season (July to September) but also prone to flooding.

Gadchiroli is located at 20.10° N 80.0° E.[1] It has an average elevation of 217 metres (715 feet). Gadchiroli District is one of the biggest in maharashtra in terms of area. The main languages spoken are Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, Gondi, Madiya and Telugu. Also it is the most beautiful place when you see in the rainy season.It is having full of teak wood forest. The peoples are living with their tradition, they celebrate the festivals like Diwali, Dasra, Durgapuja, Kalipuja and Holi etc. Literacy is improving with their growth.

As of 2001 India census,[2] Gadchiroli had a population of 42,464. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Gadchiroli has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 67%. In Gadchiroli, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
