Hello! My name is Gabriel (I won't say anything else). I'm a Puerto Rican writer, currently a recent teenager and aiming for a higher education with the goal of cleaning up the dirtiest social situations in the world (politics, teenage sociology, international relations, compulsive adult corruption etc.).

Wikipedia I ran across one day while searching for information on the band Pink Floyd for a school essay. They helped me so much that I currently am planning on funding a class that focuses on the study of Pink Floyd. Also,I have a prediction of how Wikipedia will soon contribute to the distribution of helpful and educational information across the globe to the millions that stare into a computer monitor. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish (exotic! I know) and I know a couple of words of Russian (though not enough to fill up a sentence).

Unlike my peers, I didn't just reach puberty. I matured.
That quote is a reminder of a blessing... and, you know, a curse. Lots of kids don't know why I act the way I do (with the "fancy talking" and "long words"). I'm a bit of a nerd, you know, the glasses, acne ridden face, etc. but I could also say I'm a bit eccentric, if I do say so myself.
It became a bit of a fact that I was more educated and aware than most of my other classmates (even other nerds). I was a bit of an outcast, but I hung out with a group of friends. I was rather happy as an outcast. You see, there was a paradox at my school... it was the epitome of the high school social ladder, with it's "popular crowd", it's "Goths" and "Nerds" etc... but there was a catch: no one, and I mean no one wanted to accept that fact! No one ever realized they were satire themselves!
Hell, we stereotyped Americans for being stereotypical, ignorant cockroaches when they themselves were too! Rich kids making jokes about how rich people shit green, because they eat plates worth at least $50.00, Emo kids making fun of the whole Emo subculture and the whole dark and depressing stuff, it was nuts! And they never realized it!!!
It was hilarious to me! I don't think I could have explained them anything much either (almost everyone was an ignorant little punk). Still, a lot of the kids were nice kids. All of the girls were beautiful and unique in at least one way, the boys were strong and determined (and a lot were pigs too).
You could say I became individuated faster than my other class-mates. Guess the stuff they say about growing out of fads and cliques and that kind of stuff is the pure truth. I tried to fit in a couple of times, but when I realized it was detrimental to my social health, I calmed down a little bit. Seriously, you should grow up very fast. I actually enjoy not being a "kid" (though it was definitely fun). In fact, it kind of scares me to know how... empty I was as a kid.

I moved out of Puerto Rico a couple of months ago to the U.S of A. I think I'm only one of 300,000 other families leaving the island (La isla del encanto is not as enchanting as people say it is). I miss a lot of kids from my old school and I miss my blood and sand, Puerto Rico... but hey, I'll be back there in a decade or so.
