Gabriel Gustafson

Gabriel Adolf Gustafson (August 8, 1853 in Visby, Gotland - 1915) was a Swedish archaeologist. Gustafson was employed by the University of Bergen, Norway, as a conservator from 1889 to 1900. On 29 September 1900 he became head of Oldsakssamlingen in Kristiania (now Oslo) and professor of archaeology at the University of Kristiania (now University of Oslo). He is best known for his 1904-05 work, together with Haakon Shetelig, on the Oseberg Viking ship near Tønsberg in Norway.
