Gabriel Brezoianu

Gabriel Brezoianu (born Bucharest, 18 January 1977) is a Romanian rugby union player. He plays as a wing.
Having played first at F.C. Dinamo Bucureşti (1998/1999), then in Steaua Bucureşti (1999/2000), he moved to Bègles-Bordeaux, in France, here he played from 2000/2001 to 2002/2003. After that, he went to represent US Dax (2003/2004-2005/2006), Racing Métro 92 Paris (2006/2007), Bordeaux Rugby Métropole and Tarbes Pyrénées Rugby, in 2008.
Brezoianu played his first game for Romania, at 1 June 1997, in a 20-51 loss to France, in a friendly match, in Bucharest.
He played three times at the Rugby World Cup finals, in 1999, having three games played, 2003, with four games, and 2007, with three presences
The player counted 71 caps, with 28 tries scored and 1 conversion, 142 points in aggregate, by the end of the 2007 Rugby World Cup finals. Surprisingly, for such a prolific rugby player, Brezoianu never scored in any of his three World Cup presences.
