Gabon Airlines is a start-up airline based in Libreville, Gabon. It started operations in 2007 with services between Libreville and Paris. It plans to concentrate on African and European services.[1]

The airline is privately owned and its maiden flight was expected in January 2007 from Libreville to Paris. On 8 November 2006 the Gabonese transport minister granted Gabon Airlines official permission to operate flights in the country. The airline's Director is Christian Bongo Ondimba, one of President Omar Bongo's sons. Flights to other destinations in South Africa and other central African capitals would follow.[2]
Gabon Airlines is to launch its maiden flights on the Libreville-Paris route on 11 April 2007 according to a management statement. The three flights per week would be launched with two Boeing 767s on lease from United Airlines. Ethiopian Airlines is managing personnel and aircraft maintenance. The airline is owned by Gabonese private investors, banks and insurers.[3]
