Gaël Givet (born 9 October 1981 in Arles) is a professional French football player. He currently plays for Olympique de Marseille as a defender. He is married and has a son named Gabriel (born May 8, 2006)

He played all his football with AS Monaco before joining l'OM, he made a name for himself in the 2003/04 season where he blossomed in the Monaco defense with the likes of Manchester United's Patrice Evra, current Marseille player Julien Rodriguez and Olympique Lyonnais rock Sebastien Squillaci.
He captained Monaco after Ludovic Giuly left for FC Barcelona. He signed for Olympique de Marseille on 21 June 2007.
He has 12 caps for the French national team, and was called up to the 2006 World Cup.
