G7 is a computer program for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh for writing guitar music and songs, developed by UK software company Sibelius Software and based on the Sibelius notation program.

[edit] Features

It allows the user to write and play back standard music notation and guitar tablature notation, print it out, and publish it on the World Wide Web to many guitar tablature sites. It features an on-screen guitar fretboard which users can use to input notes and chords or to visualise how they are played. Additionally, G7 can open and create ASCII tab and MIDI files, and can create audio files for burning to CD.

The "Guitar Guide" is a part of the program that features many examples of different styles of lead breaks that are in both audio and notation. The guitarist playing on the Guide is Leigh Jackson, a British guitarist who currently resides in New Zealand.
