Tenofovir
I've moved the second image into the Drugbox. To change the caption, you have to add the | imagename =
parameter to the template, in the edit window—anywhere between the opening and closing brackets {{ }}
is fine, but I prefer just below the | image =
field. Have a look at the code in tenofovir's edit window for a "live" example. Best, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 01:43, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Edit conflict at Vaccinia
I think I've added the significant changes back into Vaccinia that I inadvertently deleted - if I've missed any, my apologies. -- MarcoTolo 02:33, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Table layout
{{helpme}} The wikitable layout has me stumped. Could some helpful soul take a look at User:G716/sandbox/Gilead, and let me know how to make the vertical alignment in the header row = "bottom". Any other suggestions on the table layout much appreciated also. TIA --G716 23:14, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Hoffmann La-Roche
Your undoing of the changes to the Hoffmann La-Roche page were not necessary. The use of the Roche in Hexagon logo is disputed by the owner of the trademark. Also, the inclusion of an external link to a purely commercial website is inappropriate under the Wikipedia Terms of Use. I will revert the page accordingly. Proposal for WP:ONCOLOGY
I am trying to gauge what the interest would be for a WP:ONCOLOGY category. This would be under the broader auspices of WP:MED, along the lines of WP:RENAL and WP:Rads. It would address standards of care and best practices in surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, along with maintaining and editing cancer related articles.

Gilead
Regarding the dates in the table on the Gilead Sciences page, I was unaware of the policy. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Flu pages
Thank you very much for your efforts on the flu pages. I need to edit wikipedia less and am no longer maintaining those pages. But I do look in every now and then. It is my understanding that "avian flu" refers to the serotypes of all known subtypes of the influenza A virus that are endemic in birds. The word "subtype" with regard to influenza A is used to refer specifically to the H?N? categorization, and any specific subtype can have a variety of strains or serotypes that are endemic in different species. For example, the influenza A virus subtype H3N8 has different varieties/strains/serotypes endemic in dogs, horses, and birds. Of course, by definition these subtypes can also be called varieties/strains/serotypes; but they usually aren't called that by the experts for the sake of clarity and precision. While http://jvi.asm.org/cgi/reprint/71/8/6128.pdf is a bit out of date with some of its claims, it does give a good feel for the subject. WAS 4.250 16:53, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Virus classification
Howdy, good update on virus classification. Do you have a reliable source that could be cited for that or other material in the article? The article is woefully undersourced, so even a reference for a single virus family would help! -Agyle 03:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Influenza cats
Hi again. Sure, I'll have a look as soon as possible. Best, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 13:36, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for your hard work on the flu articles. I'm happy to help anytime you have a question or need me to dig up a source for a claim. WAS 4.250 18:04, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words. Most of my efforts are organization, clarity and consistency. Much of the content is outside my expertise. Regards—G716 <T·C> 19:26, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Virus template
Hi, I thought about this before I added to it. The template was already a bit of a mixture. For the Hepatitis section it could be the names of the disease or the virus because they are the same. Under "skin" some viruses are listed i.e. Herpes simplex (the diseases are genital herpes, coldsores, herpetic stomatitis etc); Herpes zoster, (the diseases are chickenpox, shingles, neonatal zoster etc.) Again measles is the name of the virus and the disease, same with mumps. Cowpox, molluscum contagiousum and vaccinia are the names of viruses too (in fact, vaccinia is not a disease at all). At the bottom we have cytomegalovirus by itself, (the diseases are CMV retinitis etc.) If we stick to diseases apart from changing some of the above, we would have to include: rotaviral gastroenteritis, astroviral gastroenteritis etc., which I think would look a bit of a mess. What do you think? Best wishes GrahamColm 19:12, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Not an admin. Sorry. I will be watching the page and the user until it is deleted. - Rjd0060 06:36, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Probably a sock. I restored the tag but if the IP removes it again, we'll have to go to AfD. - Rjd0060 06:45, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Redundant taxoboxes
Not at all, that's an excellent suggestion! I'm not too confident with the category space and am not sure exactly how to make sub-categories, so if you're happy to to that, that would be brilliant. There are also several pages which transclude Template:Taxobox begin which have yet to be tagged if you fancy it...
Thanks,

Avian leucosis virus
I think leucosis is an acceptable but older variant, and the article should be moved to Avian leukosis virus. We should also consider merging Lymphoid Leucosis into the article. --Joelmills (talk) 16:54, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Common cold
Hello, G716. The talk page of Common cold indicates that it is a "Good article candidate". However it isn't on the GAC list. Looking at the history, you placed the notice. Is "Common cold" a GAC? Axl (talk) 11:31, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. The common cold is listed here Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations, under the article's previous name Acute viral nasopharyngitis (common cold).—G716 <T·C> 16:53, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Vitamin C and Common Cold
I have again looked at this article, along with the links you placed on the article's talk page, and still do not see the "blatant copyright infringement" you claim. Copy-and-paste insertions result in whole paragraphs, or even entire articles, that are word-to-word identical to the original source. This is not the case with this article. --Allen3 talk 19:45, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
