Gösta Adolfsson Bagge, born May 27th 1882 in Stockholm, died January 3rd 1951 in Högalid, Stockholm, professor of economics and right wing politician. Gösta Bagge was declared leader for the conservative party after the sudden retirement of Arvid Lindman in 1935. He remained leader until 1944. Gösta Bagge was minister of education in the coalition government during 1939 to 44.
He was a social conservative politician within the conservative party, but had a liberal view on economics and was a harsh critic of the economic policies of the social democratic finance minister Ernst Wigforss.
