Göran Sonnevi

Göran Sonnevi (born in 1939 in Lund) is a Swedish poet and translator. Sonnevi grew up in Halmstad; he studied literature at university in Lund, and he also has librarian training. He has lived for many years in Järfälla outside Stockholm.
Sonnevi is one of Sweden's most successful poets, and in 2006 won The Nordic Council's Literature Prize for his collection Oceanen (the Ocean). He has also won many other Swedish literature prizes.
