Kioneli (Turkish: Gönyeli, Greek: Κιόνελι) is a village in Cyprus, near the capital city Nicosia. It's population is estimated at around 20,000 people, with a rate of growth of approximately 10% per year.[1]

Turkish Cypriot football club Gönyeli Spor Kulübü is based in Κιόνελι. Gönyeli's stadium, Ali Naci Karacan Stadı, houses football matches as well as concerts and the annual 23rd of April Children's Festival Events.

Every July, the Gönyeli International Folk Dance Festival takes place in the town center. The event lasts one week, with groups of dancers from countries such as Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey performing traditional folk dance.

Κιόνελι is a popular town for student looking to rent accommodation as it's about 15 minutes driving distance from the Near East University based in Nicosia.
