[edit] An enigmatic giant phenician head

On the top of the mountain of Pedra da Gavea ( 852 metres ) we can see a giant sculpture of an european head with a beard carved on the rockstone. That sculpture is visible many kilometres around.

A phenician sentence is carved on the side of the summit of Pedra da Gavea. The phenician words are : Badezir Phenician of Tyro son of JethBaal.

Two phenician kings lived in the 9th century before Christ : Badezir = Badezor = Baal Ezer II and his father JethBaal = EthBaal.
